Han Dynasty green glazed pottery standing Guard, or Temple Dog, China (206 BCE - 220 CE) in stance and ready to attack. With bared teeth and small protruding tongue. Ears flap forward and nostrils flared. Tear stamped collar adds to charm. The dog is the most frequently represented domestic animal of the Han Dynasty. 13" high x 16" long. In excellent condition. Ex: Ben and Roz Shepps collection, Florida. Oxford T.L Test for authenticity.
