Iron Age III Pottery Bull with Bridle, ca. 800-586 BCE. Pottery figures of animals were very common in this region from the 4th millennium BCE and onwards, but especially during the Iron Age. Stylized bull has a bridle and a bit. Incised eyes and long tail curving towards one leg. Horns repaired, but otherwise in excellent shape and appealingly crafted. 6" in height. Roman Bronze Hydria Handle with three Lion's Head. Lion Head in center flanked by foreparts of two lions. Palmette on bottom of handle. In excellent condition. On custom stand handle is 6 1/2". Handle is 4 1/2" x 3" x 2". A hydria is a type of water-carrying vessel in the metalwork and pottery of Ancient Greece. The hydria has three handles.
