| Roman Bronze of muscular Orpheus, son of Apollo, inventor of the Lyre and chief poet and musician of antiquity, depicted nude and seated in wilderness he charms wild beasts including a turtle, goat, two serpents, salamander, and snail. Circa 1st - 3rd Century C.E. Bronze is 3 3/4" high and on custom lucite stand height is 5 3/4". Loss to both arms but in excellent condition. | ||||||
