Cypriot Zoomorphic Pottery Head of a Bull, Late Cypriot II (1450 - 1200 BCE) 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/2", on custom stand 5" high. Fragment of a handle, or attachment. Ex: S. Beiner collection, Florida. The pottery of ancient Cyprus starts during the Neolithic period. Throughout the ages, Cypriot ceramics demonstrate many connections with cultures from around the Mediterranean. During the Early and Middle Bronze Ages, it is especially imaginative in shape and decoration.
