Middle Bronze Age I Tell el - Yahudiyeh ware juglet, found in Egypt but made by Jewish slaves, ca. 1800 BCE. The distinctive ware is characterized by the punctured design arranged in geometric patterns. Named after Tell el - Yahudiyeh in the Nile Delta, where W. F. Petrie first uncovered such juglets. Intact and in excellent condition. 4 1/4" high
Egyptian Quartzite Bust of god Horus, 3rd Intermediate Period, 1075 - 716 BCE. Falcon headed god wearing a tripartite wig falling to the top of the rectangular back-pillar. Bust is 6 3/4" without custom marble base. Ex: Charles Pankow collection, Indiana. In excellent condition.
Rare Egyptian Inscribed Vessel with Demotic Script, circa 500 BCE. Exterior covered with 19 lines of painted demotic script in black ink. Bulbous form, red brown pottery jar on round base. Tapered neck and wide rim. 10 3/4" high. Intact with faded script that is difficult to decipher, but otherwise in excellent condition.
Egyptian Silver Coin of Ptolemy VI Philometor, King of Egypt from 186 - 145 B.C.E during the Ptolemaic Period. Ptolemy succeeded in 180 BCE at the age of six and ruled jointly with his mother, Cleopatra I, until her death in 176 BCE The following year he married his sister, Cleopatra II. Coin circa 180 - 145 BCE. Superbly mounted as 18 Karat gold pendent. Reverse side depicts an eagle which indicated Ptolemy VI as Ruler. In excellent condition. 1" diameter
