Incensario in the Janus form of Tlaloc, the Aztec god of rain, agriculture, fire, and the south. The obverse deity surmounted by two intertwined snakes. Strong facial features with large protruding eyes, hands on his knees. Reverse side without hands and smaller head. One of four legs professionally reattached from original piece. In excellent condition. Circa 100 B.C.E. - 250 C.E., 14 3/4" high.

A robust, nude male prisoner sitting cross-legged gazing resolutely forward. Wearing a flaring head ornament molded with a tentacled octopus motif. Hands of captive are bound behind back. Pigment of reddish brown and cream. Circa 200 - 500 C.E. Some wear due to age but intact and in good condition. 11 1/2" high.

Surmounted by a domed lid with a seated female figure on top with slender arms and hands outspread on the knees, the face with ears and septum pierced for ornaments. Circa 1200 - 1450 C.E.
